Hello my wonderful readers! I am starting another long-term post where I post all of my questions I have about God and the Bible. There may be questions that are silly or have obvious answers but the variety of questions will allow other people to hopefully become more curious about God and the Bible. My goal is NOT to lead you astray!!! I want to encourage you to broaden your point of view and learn about God (of your free choice of course). I am hoping that the questions will allow you to become curious and I am hoping to have some meaningful conversations about what your opinions are concerning the questions!
The secondary purpose I have for jotting down my questions are so that I can keep track of all my thoughts and questions as I read through the Bible. I am in the process of reading the Bible from start to finish. The hardest challenges will come when I dive into more complicated sections of the Bible that make me think.
Please feel free to message me at any time or you can comment down below on this post to engage! If you are a member on my website then please feel free to talk in the forum. There have not been any engagement in the forum so far but I am hoping to receive some new members to my website as I grow.
To become a member you will need to create a free account on my website of which you can log in at any time. Members can access the forum section and it is more engaging if you are a member to my website. Again, there is no cost to becoming a member and you will receive updates when I post new content. No spam, just updates.
If you have any of your own questions that you think I should post then please let me know.
Anyway! Enjoy the post and your curiosity!
What did Adam and Eve look like?
Why did God purposely place the tree of life in the Garden of Eden? He knew that Adam and Eve would be tempted? -My take is that God allowed it to happen so that Adam and Eve can see why what they did was wrong. They were deceived and let themselves be deceived by the devil (serpent). I think the tree was there to test Adam and Eve's loyalty to God. However, if that is the case then why did God create Adam and Eve? There are multiple answers and thoughts from other people about this question of why God created us. No one truly knows the answer aside from what the Bible tells us. We are not God so we cannot fully understand His own line of thinking.
If God created other people in the creation of the universe and earth, does that mean that he created other people after Adam and Eve? Or did all of the people come from Adam and Eve's family line? If so, what about the Tower of Babel or was that a different generation/time after God flooded the earth? -Those were a lot of questions in one point....but what can I say. I have many questions and some questions that I will never receive answers too. However, just because there is no answer, it does not mean you should give up looking for them or always being curious. It is how we learn and learn more about how to understand God. We try to get close to Him as much as we can.
Where is the Garden of Eden on earth? Africa? If so, what does it look like? I could probably find out the answer to this question but it still counts as a question so....
Why did God take favour over Abel's offer instead of Cain? Cain became jealous and killed his brother which is obviously wrong. But, WHY did God favour Abel's offering more than Cain's? -I am not sure if there are any answers for this question but what is your take on the story of Cain and Abel?
How come there are so many name changes throughout the Bible? Why does God/Jesus rename certain people in the Bible?
Why do some people from the Bible disappear over time? -Example like Miriam's story ends shortly and Joseph disappears too. It was suggested that he died from an illness. Are there any other timelines or records of the time of death for the people in the Bible (not found in the Bible but outside of the Bible)?
Why did God create giants in Genesis? Why is there only a small mention of them?
Do you think God killed off the giants too in the time of the flood? Or did he give Noah two giants for the ark along with the other animals and creatures?
What is the timeline of the flood of the earth? What year do you guys think it was in? -The dates and years in the Bible's time is completely different from our time. It says the 601 year of Noah but I have no idea what that means. In the Bible I estimate that the flood started on February 7th and ended on July 17th in the same year but Noah and his family was still inside the ark for a long time before they could leave the ark. They had to wait for the water to reside from the earth. I estimate that their time in the ark was at least a year and a half.
This is a weird question and I mean a really weird question. Why were men made with nipples but they have no use for them? ........I told you it was a weird question. Biologically speaking, what is the purpose of this? Is this similar to the appendix situation?
Is the theory about Adam and Eve true that they are technically related? I mean, if God created Eve out of Adam's rib does that not technically mean that they are siblings...? This part has confused me and I found out that there are theories about this.
Why do some people experience afterlife sensations when they die but come back to life? Why do some experience this and others just die without a word? Is it a warning of some sort? Maybe God telling us that he is real? but not everyone experiences this so I am confused. It ruins my mental state thinking about it.
What do you think death will feel like? Do you think that it will be like when you never knew you were born? There was just silence before and then all of a sudden you were born. Maybe that is what death feels like.
Why does it say in Romans 9 that God hardens people's hearts? If God has the goal to bring people TOWARDS him then why would he harden a person's heart? I have never understood this part.
